Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026
AppointmentDock ("we", "us") is an online booking service operated by Marton Konrád, Geneva, Illinois, USA. Local businesses ("Businesses") use AppointmentDock to let their customers book appointments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Customers who book: name, email address, phone number (optional), notes you add, and the appointments you book, move or cancel.
- Business owners and staff: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), business details, services, schedules and time off.
- Google Calendar (staff who choose to connect it): see the Google section below.
- Technical data: a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and basic server logs (such as IP address and time of request) used for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To book, change and cancel appointments and show them to the Business and its staff.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders and change notices by email and, if you provide a mobile number and agree, by text message.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The Business you book with and its staff, who use it to provide your appointment.
- Service providers that help us run AppointmentDock: Hostinger (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (text messages) and Google (calendar sync, only for staff who connect it). They may process data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Google user data
Staff members can choose to connect a Google Calendar. If they do, AppointmentDock requests permission to view and edit events on their calendars (calendar.events) and to see their email address.
- We read event start and end times to find when the staff member is busy, so customers cannot book those times. We do not store the contents of their events.
- We create, update and delete calendar events only for appointments booked through AppointmentDock.
- We store an encrypted access token so sync keeps working. Disconnecting in AppointmentDock, or removing access in the Google account settings, deletes or revokes it.
- Google user data is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train AI models, and not shared with anyone except as needed to provide this feature.
AppointmentDock's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Text messages
If you give a mobile number when booking and agree to receive texts, the Business will send you appointment confirmations, reminders and change notices through AppointmentDock. Message frequency varies with your bookings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Mobile numbers and text opt-in information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
How long we keep data
We keep booking records for as long as the Business uses AppointmentDock, so it can see its appointment history, and delete them when the Business closes its account or asks us to. Server logs are kept for a short time for security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by contacting the Business you booked with, or us at the address below. You can cancel appointments with the link in your confirmation and opt out of texts by replying STOP.
Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and calendar tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
AppointmentDock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
